Salt & Pepper Books opened in November of 2007 in historic Occoquan, Virginia. Located on the second floor of the Riverwalk Shops building, the original space was sparsely decorated, but after months of delays, the little cookbook store was finally open. The book inventory included classic titles, cooking basis, wine and cocktail books, international cuisine, and vegetable gardening.
In April 2008 the store moved to its current location - downstairs on the first floor. With a new layout and a smidge more space we were able to add food writing and culinary mysteries to the book selections, and bring in more kitchen gift items.
Today we have a large selecton of cookbooks, suitable for all experience levels, food history titles, a growing collection of culinary mystery series, and gifts ranging from aprons to recipe binders. Please come in and browse a while... there's a book for every cook!
